Rachel Joy Scott’s Faith and the Columbine Shooting

“I am not going to apologize for speaking the name of Jesus. I am not going to hide the light that God has put in me. If I have to sacrifice everything… I will.”

Last Saturday was the 20th anniversary of the Columbine school shooting.

Thirteen people lost their lives that day, in addition to the two shooters that committed suicide in the library. It was a tragic day that marks the hearts of many people.

But few people know about Rachel Joy Scott, who was the first killed in the mass shooting. And even fewer people know that she was at the top of the shooters’ “hit list” because of her faith in Christ.
