Thanks, Congressman Joe Walsh!

I received this email from ACT! for America:

Dear Sherry,

There are certain members of the U.S. Congress who just “get it.”  Not only do they “get it,” but more importantly, they are prepared to put actions behind their words in the interest of national security.   As I’ve mentioned in the past, a lot of these Members happen to be freshmen in the 112th Congress—legislators who literally “hit the ground running.”  And one of them is from your state of Illinois.

Recently, Congressman Joe Walsh (R-8th District) spoke before a group of his constituents. During his comments, he noted how our nation cannot afford to be politically correct when it comes to radical Islam—and he cited the shootings at Ft. Hood as one example.   Click HERE to see the Congressman’s official statement about this matter.  As usual, CAIR was quick to hold a news conference about Mr. Walsh’s comments, calling names like “racist” and “bigot.” The tune never changes.

Thankfully, Mr. Walsh has no problem being clear about the threat of radical Islam to our nation, nor about how dangerous it is when our government fears addressing this threat head-on.   As a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, the Congressman has been working hard during the 112th Congress to see that concrete steps are taken to protect U.S. citizens from all threats to our national security—including radical Islam.

My hope is that you’ll take a moment today to thank Congressman Walsh for speaking out about this very important issue.  It’s critical that both he and his staff understand the level of support that is behind him when he speaks up about radical Islam.

Click HERE to send your e-mail of support to Congressman Walsh, via our Contact Congress site.  Click on the Alert entitled: Send a Note of Thanks to Rep. Joe Walsh. You will be able to modify the prewritten letter in order to personalize it to your liking.

NOTE: If you are not in Congressman Walsh’s district—Illinois’ 8th—the system will NOT let you send an e-mail to him.  Another option is to fax your message to 202-225-7830, or send it via U.S. Mail to:

Congressman Joe Walsh 432 Cannon House Office Building Washington, DC 20515

Positive feedback like this goes a long way.  Again, it’s very important that our elected officials receive your support and encouragement when they speak up about these important issues.  Please take a moment to send your note to the Congressman today!

As always, thank you for all of your efforts.  I assure you, your actions ARE making a difference, not only up on Capitol Hill, but across the nation.

REMEMBER, YOUR VOICE COUNTS! IF EACH OF US DOES JUST A LITTLE, TOGETHER WE CAN ACCOMPLISH A LOT!

  1. But then we have this:
    http://www.thefederalregister.com/d.p/2009-02-04-E9-2488
Which means that, well, let me quote my FB friend, Richard Grund: HB 1388 PASSED We just spent $20,000,000 to move members/supporters of Hamas, a terrorist organization, to the United States ; housing, food, transportation, the whole
    enchilada.

~sigh~…one step forward and several back…

    1. Here is the rest of Mr. Grund’s comment:
Whether you are an Obama fan, or not, EVERYONE IN THE U.S. Needs to know…. H.R. 1388 was passed, behind our backs. By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20..3 million in “migration assistance” to the Palestinian refugees and “conflict victims” in Gaza – i.e Hamas. The “presidential determination” which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States , was signed and appears in the Federal Register.
