    1. “The Road We’ve Traveled” is an Obama campaign short movie — or alternatively dubbed “docu-ganda” — that, to many, is a stunningly fawning 17-minute account of what the filmmaker posits are the president’s myriad “accomplishments” during his first term.
“Remember how far we’ve come,” opens director Davis Guggenheim’s film. Guggenheim, of course, made waves recently when he asserted that the only “negative” about President Obama is that he has too many positives.
But where does the title and theme for Obama’s mini propagandist piece hail from? Glenn Beck went digging and thinks he might have found the answers in a book from 1942.

  1. OBAMA’S ARMY

While running for the presidency, Barack Obama made a mysterious and bizarre campaign promise.

He said that as president he would create “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the U.S. military, to advance his “objectives” for America.

The astonishing announcement, made July 2, 2008, to an audience in Colorado Springs, was ignored by virtually the entire media – except WND. Nobody bothered to ask Obama specifically what he meant, or how he could possibly assemble and fund such a massive civilian army, or why – and he never spoke of it again.

    Fast-forward to late 2011.

“President Obama, this is your army! We are ready to march! Let’s take these son-of-a-b*tches out …!”

That was Teamsters union president James Hoffa, addressing a large Labor Day rally at which Obama also spoke, proclaiming brazenly what leftist radicals have long understood: America’s largest labor unions – especially the huge government employee unions like the 3-million-member National Education Association and 2-million-member Service Employees International Union

  3. “If the federal government can regulate the relationship between parents and their children on their own family’s farm there is virtually nothing off limits”

    1. Glen Beck did a show on this. It was good but I can’t find the link at this moment. If I find it, I’ll post it.

  4. Obama’s Secret War-making for the U.N.

You may not have heard of PSD-10 because it has received no significant coverage from the major media. Yet, President Obama issued “Presidential Study Directive 10” last August 4, 2011, and posted it on the White House website. It amounts to a new and potentially far-reaching exercise of American military power cloaked in humanitarian language and conducted under the auspices of the United Nations and the International Criminal Court.

    1. For his part, Obama is basically deploying the U.S. Armed Forces on behalf of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which indicted Kony for war crimes in 2005 and issued an arrest warrant for him. However, not only has the U.S. Senate not ratified the ICC treaty, Congress has never authorized the use of U.S. troops to carry out the ICC’s edicts. So where does Obama get the power to deploy U.S. troops in this manner?

  5. The Fear of Martial Law

In 1950 the nation was entering a new phase of history following World War II. It would be called the Cold War led by the then-Soviet Union, but 1950 is also important because on October 1, 1949, Mao Zedung had proclaimed the birth of the People’s Republic of China, instituting a Communist regime that continues to this day. With German and Japanese totalitarian threats vanquished, new ones were emerging.

The new EO evokes fear because it is occurring in peacetime and, more specifically, when the United States remains the strongest military power on Earth. There is no indication that an attack by any other nation is anticipated, so the implementation of the EO raises concerns that its purpose is not what it says.

In effect, the EO allows the federal government, directed by the President, to commandeer and control all aspects of the economy and the lives of all Americans. It centralizes control to an astonishing and frightening degree.

This should strike fear in all Americans no matter their political party. A repub prez can use this power over the U.S. citizens just as well as our current DOTUS…

  6. The general tone of the reports was best expressed by a headline in the New York Times, March 15, 1965: “The New Student Left: Movement Represents Serious Activists in Drive for Changes.” What kind of changes? No specific answer was given in the almost full page story – just “changes.” Some of these activists, who liken their movement to a revolution, want to be called radicals. Most of them, however, prefer to be called “organizers.” Organizers of what? Of deprived people. For what? No answer. Just “organizers.”

Delving deeper into the background of two specific radicals, Saul Alinsky and William Ayers, both of import in terms of their association with the current president, we find indispensable linkages between what is widely considered on the right to be socialist or communist in thinking and the radical pragmatic terms of the father of community organizers Saul Alinsky.

Leftists hold up Alinsky as an innocuous toiler on behalf of the working class because they agree with his ethical ends and because he justifies their power lust. A passage from Jim Geraghty’s article “The Alinsky Administration” shows the left’s moral equivocation of New Left radicals with The Founding Fathers:

Alinsky sneered at those who would accept defeat rather than break their principles: “It’s true I might have trouble getting to sleep because it takes time to tuck those big, angelic, moral wings under the covers.” He assured his students that no one would remember their flip-flops, scoffing, “The judgment of history leans heavily on the outcome of success or failure; it spells the difference between the traitor and the patriotic hero. There can be no such thing as a successful traitor, for if one succeeds he becomes a founding father.” If you win, no one really cares how you did it.

  7. From WND – Historical revisionism at work in our schools

What the? Now facts erased from schoolbooks
You won’t believe what’s intentionally left out from key U.S. date

  8. Political Speech as a Felony

Andrew Napolitano weighs in on a new federal law that could result in felony charges for those trying to petition our rulers for redress of our grievances as if this were still America-see video

  9. Obama Campaign Likely Censoring YouTube Comments

President Obama’s campaign appears to be censoring viewer comments on the YouTube presentation of “The Road We’ve Traveled,” the 17-minute campaign documentary about the Obama presidency, with positive comments outnumbering negative by more than five to one.

Obama has staked a claim to conducting an “openness” presidency, with the White House frequently touting measures it says increase transparency. But not on his campaign’s YouTube channel.
