Obama, Sebelius declare war on religious liberty (via Liberty Counsel Action)
Dear Patricia,
President Obama and his Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), Kathleen Sebelius, have put people of faith and religious organizations squarely in their crosshairs! The ObamaCare contraceptive and abortifacient mandate that has erupted into front-page news is an overreaching government intrusion into the lives of all Americans – and is patently unconstitutional.
Obama’s dictate has stirred up a firestorm of protest from religious organizations and is being likened to a slap across the face to people of faith.
Liberty Counsel Action has been in this war for many, many years, and we feel this latest eruption is unique. Make no mistake – we are wholeheartedly standing with other groups that are strongly opposing this outrage, but we have known for a long time where ObamaCare’s implementation was heading!

Obama Invokes NDAA Declaring Threat From Iran A National Emergency (video)
President Obama invokes the NDAA, which authorizes the use of military force, and issues an executive order declaring the “threat” of Iran a National Emergency.
The executive order directs all government agencies to respond immediately to the threat. It further invokes the authority of the 2012 NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) which gives the President the power to launch military action against any nation without the approval of Congress.
Ironically, the State of Emergency order also accuses the Iranian central bank of deceptive banking practices.

To take a small example: The HHS rule prohibits out-of-pocket costs for birth control, simply because Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’s regulators believe no woman should have to pay anything for it. To take a larger example: The Obama Administration’s legal defense of the mandate to buy insurance or else pay a penalty is that the mere fact of being alive gives the government the right to regulate all Americans at every point in their lives.

So. No religious charities or organizations who offers insurance to their workers will have to pay for contraceptives because the health insurance provided by them will pay it. Boy! I am as dumb as a box of rocks but even I know that insurance is paid for by the employer. This solved nothing except to cause religious employers to drop insurance coverage for their employees.

This week, the president wasn’t chipping … he was trying to take a jackhammer to the First Amendment. When he ordered Catholic organizations to provide birth control, sterilization and the morning-after pill to all their employees, free of charge, against church dogma, there was outrage. That outrage was justifiable.
Progressives cheered the order as a triumph for women, as if the free birth control pills given out at clinics across the country, the low price of condoms and the in-expense of simply not having sex were not option enough for people. No, the government had to go further. Without any sense of hypocrisy, the “keep-your- religion-out-of-our-politics” crowd lauded the insertion of government into religion.
Life–God’s or Caesar’s?
And why we should never cede the ownership to the state! Life begins at conception and ends at death, this is not a question of religion, this is established medical science. There are those who disagree about whether conception equals a baby or not in some minds, that quite frankly is beside the point. An egg that has been fertilized is alive, it divides, it starts forming limbs, organs, a brain, it is alive. If it were not, these actions would be impossible.
