Yes, racism still exists, but my experience over the years has been that it is strongest amongst those with a liberal or progressive agenda to push. I rarely see anyone on the Right being racist, but I see it on the Left on a regular basis. It seems to be part of the requirements of being on the Left to either push a racist agenda or to naively believe that it will somehow make things better.

On Martin Luther King (Jr) Day, I thought it important that we take a moment to reflect upon the man. Not the distorted politically-correct, left-leaning concoction the Left has invented, but the real man and his real cause.
As you can see the Temple Mount was never considered Holy to Muslims, It is never mentioned in the Koran Jerusalem is never mentioned in the Koran, Mohammed never stepped foot in Israel, Palestine is never mentioned in the Bible or in the Koran. Its all a LIE by Arabs to continue the conflict with Israel by spreading fantasy Lies they are claiming to have a history in a land (Israel) they have no ancient history in at all. There never was a Palestine or a Palestinian People, this is an historical fact that even Arab have admitted to.
Stone-throwers attacked a group of Christian tourists that were visiting the site. At least 40 officers entered the Temple Mount to deal with the situation, said Rosenfeld.
Police arrested three suspects on the scene who were involved directly in the attacks. Police arrested ten additional suspects as they exited afternoon prayers at the Al Aksa mosque, and five more Sunday evening. They expected to make several further arrests. Police said no Jews were at the Temple Mount during the altercation. The site remained opened to tourists throughout the day.

UPDATE: It occurs to me that this article proposed something that is popular with the American people -increased accountability among our elected officials. I posted this from another website as indicated above, but after checking FACT CHECK, I’m reminded it is … just an idea! While bits and pieces of this have been proposed by various members, nothing significant has happened yet! The popularity of this article on various websites is proof it carries some measures that might actually improve our government on every level. I would suggest, if you like these ideas, that you send them to your Senators and Representatives. Let’s push it and make our “Representative”government work in our behalf!
No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense..
In the four days of protests since the discovery of burnt Qurans at Bagram air base 25 people, including two US soldiers, have died.
I’m so very glad that My God doesn’t insist that His children destroy the lives of those who hate Him. Instead, we are to pray for them. My God, the only true God and Father of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is not insecure about His diety. He knows who He is and how it will all turn out in the end, i.e., that every knee will bow before Him, both of those who hate Him and those who worship Him. He is Lord of lords, King of kings and God above all gods.
I’m also glad that He does not require men to blow themselves up or die by the sword for Him in order to enter His kingdom because His Son died in our stead in order that we may be saved from God’s wrath that is upon every unrepentant sinner. I’m glad that He drew me to Him by His love and not by a sword to my throat.

Fellow Citizens of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
Among the vicissitudes incident to life, no event could have filled me with greater anxieties than that of which the notification was transmitted by your order, and received on the fourteenth day of the present month. On the one hand, I was summoned by my Country, whose voice I can never hear but with veneration and love, from a retreat which I had chosen with the fondest predilection, and, in my flattering hopes, with an immutable decision, as the asylum of my declining years: a retreat which was rendered every day more necessary as well as more dear to me, by the addition of habit to inclination, and of frequent interruptions in my health to the gradual waste committed on it by time. On the other hand, the magnitude and difficulty of the trust to which the voice of my Country called me, being sufficient to awaken in the wisest and most experienced of her citizens, a distrustful scrutiny into his qualifications, could not but overwhelm with dispondence, one, who, inheriting inferior endowments from nature and unpractised in the duties of civil administration, ought to be peculiarly conscious of his own deficiencies. In this conflict of emotions, all I dare aver, is, that it has been my faithful study to collect my duty from a just appreciation of every circumstance, by which it might be affected. Such being the impressions under which I have, in obedience to the public summons, repaired to the present station; it would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official Act, my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the Universe, who presides in the Councils of Nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that his benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the People of the United States, a Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes: and may enable every instrument employed in its administration to execute with success, the functions allotted to his charge. In tendering this homage to the Great Author of every public and private good I assure myself that it expresses your sentiments not less than my own; nor those of my fellow-citizens at large, less than either. No People can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand, which conducts the Affairs of men more than the People of the United States. Every step, by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation, seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency. And in the important revolution just accomplished in the system of their United Government, the tranquil deliberations and voluntary consent of so many distinct communities, from which the event has resulted, cannot be compared with the means by which most Governments have been established, without some return of pious gratitude along with an humble anticipation of the future blessings which the past seem to presage. These reflections, arising out of the present crisis, have forced themselves too strongly on my mind to be suppressed. You will join with me I trust in thinking, that there are none under the influence of which, the proceedings of a new and free Government can more auspiciously commence.
By the article establishing the Executive Department, it is made the duty of the President “to recommend to your consideration, such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.” The circumstances under which I now meet you, will acquit me from entering into that subject, farther than to refer to the Great Constitutional Charter under which you are assembled; and which, in defining your powers, designates the objects to which your attention is to be given. It will be more consistent with those circumstances, and far more congenial with the feelings which actuate me, to substitute, in place of a recommendation of particular measures, the tribute that is due to the talents, the rectitude, and the patriotism which adorn the characters selected to devise and adopt them. In these honorable qualifications, I behold the surest pledges, that as on one side, no local prejudices, or attachments; no seperate views, nor party animosities, will misdirect the comprehensive and equal eye which ought to watch over this great assemblage of communities and interests: so, on another, that the foundations of our National policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality; and the pre-eminence of a free Government, be exemplified by all the attributes which can win the affections of its Citizens, and command the respect of the world.
I dwell on this prospect with every satisfaction which an ardent love for my Country can inspire: since there is no truth more thoroughly established, than that there exists in the oeconomy and course of nature, an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness, between duty and advantage, between the genuine maxims of an honest and magnanimous policy, and the solid rewards of public prosperity and felicity: Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained: And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.
Besides the ordinary objects submitted to your care, it will remain with your judgment to decide, how far an exercise of the occasional power delegated by the Fifth article of the Constitution is rendered expedient at the present juncture by the nature of objections which have been urged against the System, or by the degree of inquietude which has given birth to them. Instead of undertaking particular recommendations on this subject, in which I could be guided by no lights derived from official opportunities, I shall again give way to my entire confidence in your discernment and pursuit of the public good: For I assure myself that whilst you carefully avoid every alteration which might endanger the benefits of an United and effective Government, or which ought to await the future lessons of experience; a reverence for the characteristic rights of freemen, and a regard for the public harmony, will sufficiently influence your deliberations on the question how far the former can be more impregnably fortified, or the latter be safely and advantageously promoted.
To the preceeding observations I have one to add, which will be most properly addressed to the House of Representatives. It concerns myself, and will therefore be as brief as possible. When I was first honoured with a call into the Service of my Country, then on the eve of an arduous struggle for its liberties, the light in which I contemplated my duty required that I should renounce every pecuniary compensation. From this resolution I have in no instance departed. And being still under the impressions which produced it, I must decline as inapplicable to myself, any share in the personal emoluments, which may be indispensably included in a permanent provision for the Executive Department; and must accordingly pray that the pecuniary estimates for the Station in which I am placed, may, during my continuance in it, be limited to such actual expenditures as the public good may be thought to require.
Having thus imported to you my sentiments, as they have been awakened by the occasion which brings us together, I shall take my present leave; but not without resorting once more to the benign parent of the human race, in humble supplication that since he has been pleased to favour the American people, with opportunities for deliberating in perfect tranquility, and dispositions for deciding with unparellelled unanimity on a form of Government, for the security of their Union, and the advancement of their happiness; so his divine blessing may be equally conspicuous in the enlarged views, the temperate consultations, and the wise measures on which the success of this Government must depend.

So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD. In the course of my life he broke my strength; he cut short my days. So I said: “Do not take me away, O my God, in the midst of my days; your years go on through all generations.
In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end. The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”
No matter what else happens in your life, you can be sure of one thing. Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. (Hebr.13:8) Whether you live to a ripe old age or die young, enjoy good health or battle sickness, live a life of privilege or poverty, bask in the bright glow of worldly fame or drift through the gray haze of anonymity, His promise to you remains the same. Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:1-3)
As acclaimed cartoonist Mark Newgarden observed, “We all die alone.” Sure, people can be at our bedside holding our hands and praying, but I’ve watched enough people die to know that at the moment our life on Earth ends, no one there will be able to share the experience with us. The journey from here to eternity begins with the shedding of all our earthly accoutrements, and at least for the short term that includes relationships as well. No one from here accompanies us on our walk toward the light.
How comforting it will be at that moment to know that all of God’s promises are true.
“This too shall pass,” the proverb tells us. No matter what your earthly situation or circumstance, it’s only temporary, and you know not when it will end. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” Jesus said. (Matt.24:35) I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26)
So don’t allow the good to manipulate you, or the bad to intimidate you. Trust in the Lord, rejoice in all things, give thanks always. Learn, like Paul, the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. And what is this secret? I can do everything through him who gives me strength (Phil. 4:12-13). For the Lord is good, His compassions are new every morning, and His mercy endures forever.

I was over at the Islamophobia Watch site and read through some of their articles that they believe details anti-Muslim sentiments. It’s really difficult to take it seriously because they are so ill-informed. In fact, for people in the know, what is presented there comes across as outright lies; lies that are designed to cause people to sympathize with the plight of the poor Muslim.
This is not to knock Muslims. It’s to knock Islam and I’ll say that right up front. I’ve read too many articles about how Muslims are allegedly mistreated and how people seem to be out to get them. The truth though is that much of the trouble that Muslims experience is due to their own cowardice and manipulation of the media.
For some reason, the mainstream media does sympathize with Islam and Muslims in particular. Christianity? Judaism? It’s open season on both of these religions and all but the most jaded and blind are unable to see it.

The moment that Ashley Barton saw the car, she knew something was amiss.
The cream-colored Chrysler PT Cruiser with California plates and a U.S. Marine Corps sticker had appeared near the end of the first week of January, parked by itself in a seldom-used auxiliary lot at the Riverview Landing at Valley Forge community in West Norriton. It was nearly half a mile from any of the housing units.
“They only use that lot when the Schuylkill floods the regular parking lot,” said Barton, who lives in the complex. “Maybe once or twice a year. It’s on high ground. They tell us to park there and run shuttles [to the housing units]. Nobody would [normally] park there. I knew something wasn’t right.”
Through the car’s windows, she could see a purse and some military items. Traffic audibly zipped by on the nearby Betzwood Bridge that carries US 422 over the Schuylkill River.
“All of this [military] paraphernalia,” Barton said. “Posters, war stuff.”
Barton said she called West Norriton Police, but was told that police had already checked out the car out after an earlier call from another resident.
“They said it wasn’t stolen. I was more worried about the person who left it there,” Barton said.
The car belongs to Janice Rubendall, a resident of the Trooper section of Lower Providence. Rubendall, a 25-year-old Marine Corps veteran, was reported missing by her father, Robert Rubendall, on Feb. 9. He hasn’t seen his daughter since Jan. 4.

Just a note: This is an anti-Bush, anti-Iraq war movie but it is chock full of information which makes it worth watching if you have never seen it before. I almost stopped it a few times because of its left leanings but I am glad, for lack of a better word, I watched it through. I kept thinking, “What has Obama done to reverse this?” Nothing. Toward the end of this documentary lies the answer as to why. No POTUS is going to want to give Congress back the power that is rightfully theirs. It can be done, but we may be hard-pressed to see it happen anytime soon. And will there be any generation after us who will know of our nation’s founding and will desire to rise up to regain America Lost? Or will it be “For’d, HARCH!” toward that unobtainable, man-made Utopia of the Lost Horizon variety? One warning! If you cannot stomach Alec Baldwin then be aware that he makes an appearance as the end credits roll.

When John F. Kennedy was President, just over a quarter of federal spending went to fund programs paying for some 21.7 million Americans to be dependent on Uncle Sam. But as high as that spending and dependence on the federal government was then, it has exploded today, with one in five Americans—more than 67.3 million—depending on Washington for assistance.
The Heritage Foundation’s 2012 Index of Dependence on Government1 shows an alarming trend under the Obama Administration of a level of dependence on our government that has never been seen before. Today, a full 70 percent of the federal government’s budget goes to pay for housing, food, income, student aid, or other assistance, with recipients ranging from college students to retirees to welfare beneficiaries. Heritage’s Patrick Tyrrell writes2 that other findings from the study show:
· Government dependency jumped 8.1 percent in the past year, with the most assistance going toward housing, health and welfare, and retirement.
· The federal government spent more taxpayer dollars than ever before in 2011 to subsidize Americans. The average individual who relies on Washington could receive benefits valued at $32,748, more than the nation’s average disposable personal income ($32,446).
· At the same time, nearly half of the U.S. Population (49.5 percent) does not pay any federal income taxes.
· In the next 25 years, more than 77 million baby boomers will retire. They will begin collecting checks from Social Security, drawing benefits from Medicare, and relying on Medicaid for long-term care.
· As of now, 70 percent of the federal government’s budget goes to individual assistance programs, up dramatically in just the past few years. However, research shows that private, community, and charitable aid helps individuals rise from their difficulties with better success than federal government handouts. Plus, local and private aid is often more effectively distributed.
Representative Allen West (R-FL) writes on The Foundry3 that this disturbing trend does not bode well for our country and, in fact, will ultimately lead to an America where dependence—not independence—becomes the norm. And he says Washington must play a role in changing course while also encouraging charities and community groups to help lift up Americans who need support:
We in Congress need to do our part to aid the struggle for more personal responsibility. We need to reduce government spending levels so we are taking less from America’s producers of economic growth. We need to take a long, hard look at these assistance programs, eliminating duplicative efforts and directing aid first to the neediest of our population.
We also have to embolden charities, local groups, and private-sector initiatives to empower individuals through programs that require more “skin in the game.” Far too often, these good Samaritans are pushed aside by government zeal to provide inferior and bureaucratized services. And finally, we need to reform entitlement programs like Medicare and Social Security so that they are viable for future generations without bankrupting our country.
With America about to witness the largest retirement of people in world history—and with the number of “taxpayers” who pay no taxes only continuing to grow—alarm bells should be ringing in Washington and across the country warning that the federal government is about to burst at the seams. The United States simply cannot afford to continue fostering a society where a growing number of people are dependent on the federal government and not themselves. What’s more, if this trend continues, America will see increasing division between those who pay for programs that advance dependence, and those who unquestioningly accept–and expect–the assistance from those programs.
The Heritage Foundation’s Saving the American Dream4 plan offers policy solutions to fix the debt, cut spending, reform entitlements, and restore prosperity, enabling the people of this country to thrive and succeed—without depending on the government. And those kinds of reforms are desperately needed if America is to gain control over its $15 trillion debt and its exploding entitlement system so that the people can produce for themselves, not for Washington.
· The U.S. Government is moving up plans to withdraw 8,000 Marines from the island of Okinawa while also scaling back plans to build key bases in Japan and Guam, all due to political obstacles and budget constraints, The Washington Post reports.5
· California and New York are set to join nearly all the other states in reaching a $25 billion foreclosure settlement with the nation’s largest banks6. At issue are allegations of improper foreclosures based on “robo-signing,” seizures made without proper paperwork.
· The Obama Administration will grant 10 states waivers to the No Child Left Behind law,7 with 28 other states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico indicating that they, too, will seek waivers.
· A new National Labor Relations Board regulation that expedites elections for union representation will likely lead to dramatically higher rates of unionization, Scribe reports. Read about it on The Foundry9.

If you want to be a GOOD Democrat, you must have certain basic beliefs:
1. You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
2. You have to believe that the same teacher who can’t teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of the Chinese and the moslems.
